How to Set Up Outlook Express for Remote Access

Click on Tools and then Accounts

1. Start Outlook Express

2. Click on Tools and then Accounts

Choose the Mail Tab and highlight the MVDSL account

3. Choose the Mail Tab and highlight the MVDSL account

4. Click Properties

Choose the Servers Tab and make sure that Log on using Secure Password Authtication is NOT checked and My server requires authentication IS checked.

5. Choose the Servers Tab and make sure that Log on using Secure Password Authtication is NOT checked and My server requires authentication IS checked.

5a. Change Outgoing mail (SMTP) to asmtp.mvdsl.com

Click the "Settings" button and make sure Use same settings as my incoming mail server IS checked

6. Click the "Settings" button and make sure Use same settings as my incoming mail server IS checked

7. Click Ok, and choose the "Advanced" tab. Make sure it looks like this. You'll need to change the Outgoing mail port number from 25 to 222.
